EHS Announces New Volleyball Coach

The former EHS volleyball coach, Coach Kieffer, moved unexpectedly in January to Northeast Arkansas. She worked hard during her season as head coach, and we know that will continue with the new coach, Brooke Bagwell.

Coach Bagwell was born in El Dorado, but moved away when she was five. Raised in Dallas, Bagwell graduated from Highland Park High School, where she was a highly accomplished tennis player. She coached volleyball for many years in Tomball, Texas, until her sweet girls hijacked all of her time.

Although she left coaching, she has remained involved in the sport one way or another. "Old coaches never go away, they just figure out a way to stay relevant," Coach Bagwell said. "Coaching has been calling me loudly for the last couple of years. I am very excited to bring an old coach's perspective to this program!!  We have so many talented athletes in El Dorado, and I can't wait to introduce them to volleyball!"

Coach Bagwell's oldest daughter (a former Lady Cat volleyball player) is in her first year at the University of Arkansas and her youngest will be a freshman at EHS next year. She is a gifted and talented teacher with the district.

We are excited to see where you lead our program, Coach!
