Jae Kell - New Head Girls Basketball Coach

The El Dorado School District Board unanimously approved the hiring of Jae Kell as the new Head Girls Basketball Coach. Coach Kell has been the Head Girl’s Basketball Coach at Warren High School for the last three years.

In her time at Warren, Coach Kell led both the Junior High and Senior High teams to championships at the District and Conference level. Her teams made it to the state championship for the last two years which has not happened for Warren schools in the last 18 years.

In college, Kell played for the Arkansas Tech Golden Suns, winning three conference championships and making two appearances at the NCAA Tournament. Her coaching style has been described as tough but caring as she tries to meet each player where they are, coaching each player individually to push them toward success.

Coach Kell expressed her excitement about joining Wildcat Basketball, “I am delighted for the opportunity to be a part of the El Dorado School District and the Wildcat basketball program. I look forward to continuing the success of the previous coaches. I am excited about being active in the community and ready to hit the ground running.”

Athletic Director Phillip Lansdell said, “We are excited to have Jae Kell as our Girl’s Basketball Coach.  Coach Kell’s background as a college player and coach brings the knowledge and energy we need to continue our winning tradition.  Coach Kell has proven she can build a program and get it to the next level quickly.  Coach Kell’s personality and drive make her a natural fit for Ladycats Basketball.”
