Foster C. Poindexter, 60, of El Dorado passed away August 21, 2017 at St. Vincent's Infirmary in Little Rock.

Born July 17, 1957 to the late Foster and Ruth Cravy Poindexter.  Foster lost his hard battle with cancer.   “Poindexter,” as he was known to everyone, was the grounds keeper for the El Dorado School District Athletic Fields for sixteen years. His love for the Wildcats showed as he took great pride in keeping the fields and facilities in immaculate condition. He followed the Wildcats everywhere they went, whether it be on the sidelines or in the bleachers, you could always find him supporting our teams.   On September 30, 2016, Foster was recognized with the “Lifetime Letterman Award” which he cherished until his final day as a Wildcat.  The El Dorado Wildcats will truly miss him.  He was also a long time member of St. Paul Methodist Church and was a big sports card collector.

 Preceding him in death are his parents.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his cousins, Bennie Sue Payne of Maumelle, Raymond Cammack of Magnolia, Kristin Bowden of Hot Springs, Mary Jo Ward of Longview, TX.  and Peggy Wagner of Phoenix, AZ.; his beloved friends, Richard Watson of Norphlet,  David Crawford of Smackover  and Jerry Huffman of El Dorado.

 A graveside service will be at 11am  Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Parkers Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Travis Langley officiating.
