The ITEEA awards:  WASHINGTON MIDDLE SCHOOL  Program Excellence Award

Atlanta, GA – April 12, 2018:  At the recent annual conference for the International Technology and Engineering Educator Association (ITEEA), the Program at WASHINGTON MIDDLE SCHOOL (EL DORADO, AR) was recognized as one of only 24 programs worldwide to earn the prestigious Program Excellence Award.  

Sponsored by the ITEEA and Paxton/Patterson, the Program Excellence Award is one of the highest honors given to Technology and Engineering classroom programs on the elementary, middle or high school levels.  It is presented in recognition of outstanding contributions to the profession and students. Schools from all over the United States and around the world compete for this honor.

Each year the Program Excellence winners are recognized at the largest conference for Technology & Engineering Educators in the world.  This year the program at WASHINGTON MIDDLE SCHOOL, EL DORADO AR was recognized at the first general session of the conference where the award plaques and pins were presented.  This is the third time in 3 years that Washington Middle School’s STEM Program has been recognized internationally.  Earlier this year, Washington’s STEM Program was recognized as the Future of Educational Technology Conference STEM Excellence Winner.  In 2016, the school was recognized by the International STEM Association. Washington Middle School has a STEAM program that involves every student.
