Thanks to support from the Community Eligibility Program, El Dorado Schools is pleased to be able to offer FREE breakfast and lunch to ALL students in grades K-8 for the 2019-20 school year. Students in the elementary schools (K-4) will still receive Breakfast in the Classroom each day free of charge. Now, students at Washington Middle School and Barton Junior High can also receive free breakfast, which they will find available in the cafeteria and other locations around campus. And all of these students (K-8) will now also receive their lunch for free. No applications to fill out or financial information needed. Just come to school and we'll be sure you're fed!

We hope one day to be able to expand this program to 9th-12th grade as well. Until then, students at El Dorado High School can still fill out the Meal Application Form (link on the left of this page) to receive free or reduced meal prices.

Student Food Services

At El Dorado Schools, we understand the connection between the physical and mental well-being of our students. That's why we've worked hard to provide a nutritious food service program throughout the district. Our elementary schools serve breakfast in the classrooms for every student. Breakfast is also available at our upper level schools beginning at 7:40 each morning. Lunches at the elementary level usually include two hot meal options of which students can choose one main entree, a side dish, fruit, vegetables, juice and milk. At Washington Middle School, two hot entrees are available for student's choosing or a Grab-and-Go station allows students to quickly get a cold lunch, all with nutritious sides, juice and milk. Barton Junior High and El Dorado High School offer a variety of lunch stations, similar to a mall food court. Daily, students can choose from a homestyle meal, burgers, pizza, salads, custom-made sandwiches, along with a variety of vegetables, fruits and side dishes.
