Last Thursday, thirty-five students plus three teacher sponsors attended a "Speed Lead" event after school. Four community leaders--Marquisa Wince, Josh Holt, Alexander Jeffery, and Alderwoman Kensel Spivey--spoke about their leadership journeys. Panelists discussed everything from failures and doubts they held along the way to the mentors that helped them find the right professional path. Students also attended sessions on developing as leaders, ranging from how to plan a big project to discerning their leadership style.
