DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR WEDNESDAY, APRIL 4, 2018

  • SENIORS: 
    • Tickets are on sale during all three lunch shifts through Friday of this week. $15 single; $25 couple. 
    • Come by Mrs. Thigpen's office to receive a copy of prom attire guidelines.  IF you have any questions, please come by and see Mrs. Newton.  If dresses do not meet guidelines, you will not be admitted into prom...this includes ANY date brought outside of EHS. You will not be refunded on your ticket.
    •  Seniors MUST buy a shirt to attend the graduation all night party. Order yours at lunch. The cost is $20.
    • Senior Data Sheets are available in the Guidance Office. ALL SENIORS NEED TO COMPLETE AND RETURN THEM TO THE GUIDANCE OFFICE. This information will be announced at Graduation and Posted In The NEWSPAPER.  
  • GUIDANCE OFFICE: 
    • The Arkansas Community Foundation Scholarship portal is open. Several scholarship options are on this site all seniors are encouraged to apply. Visit www.arcf.org.
    • Several scholarship applications are available in the guidance office. The Union County Community Scholarships can be found at www.uccfar.org 
    • Attention Sophomores: If you are interested in being considered to attend the Hugh O'Brian Leadership Seminar this summer in Russellville, AR; sign up in Guidance Office. Deadline for sign up 4/4
    • The Joe Black Memorial Scholarship is available in the Guidance Office. Senior Football Players are encouraged to apply.
    • Senior Pride Members please stop by the Guidance Office to pick up the PRIDE scholarship applications. Also the Deadline for the NAACP scholarship has been extended until Friday, April 6, 2018.  
  • SOPHOMORES:
    • There will be a Sophomore Steering Committee Meeting for current and new members on Wednesday, April 4th in Ms. Lowe’s room. 2526
  • JUNIORS: 
    • Signature sheets can be picked up from a folder outside my room- 2523. Signature sheets and $10 are due Friday!!!
  • HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL: 
    • Tickets to EHS's production of High School Musical will be on sale during all 3 lunch shifts. Tickets are $10 and production dates are April 12-14. This is one production you do not want to miss! For more information, visit Troupe42.com.
  • SOUL OF A WILDCAT: 
    • What is the soul of a Wildcat? Show us or tell us! A chance to show your talents, win cash, and travel to a world-class art exhibit. Deadline to enter is Friday, April 6th. 
  • BETA: 
    • There will be a short Beta club meeting on Wednesday for all members. Members have two options to attend: before school at 7:40am or after school at 3:20pm. The meeting will be very short. Members must attend one. 
  • STUDENT COUNCIL: 
    • If you would like to be on the 2018-2019 Student Council please come by Mr. Sanders Room 2201 and pick up a petition for grade level representative. 
  • FBLA: 
    • All FBLA State Competitors: Please see Mrs. Phillips in Room 1518 by Monday, April 2, to sign the agreement form for the conference.
  • BOYS BASKETBALL: 
    • Boys basketball will be having tryouts on Friday April 6th at 3:30. If you are an official resident of AC and have been suspended multiple times you can save yourself some time and not show up. If you are in a Spring Sport and can not make it that day get with Coach Simmons to arrange another day..
  • VARSITY TRACK: 
    • Track practice will be at the high school today. 
  • ASLI:

  • CATS CONFERENCES: 
    • If you missed your CATS Conference, talk with your homeroom teacher about getting this made up and the forms signed by your parent. If these are not completed in the next few days, you will miss out on choosing electives and alternates for next year. Talk with your homeroom teacher today.
  • BOYS SOCCER:
    • Congratulations to the Boys Soccer team on their 5-2 victory over Texarkana last night. Job well done; keep up the good work.
  • TRACK:
    • Teachers please release the Varsity Boys Track Team at the beginning of 5th period. They are to eat 1st lunch and report to the locker room.
