ESD hires Scarlett Gully as Director of Communications

The El Dorado School District is pleased to announce that Scarlett Gully has recently assumed the role of ESD Communications Director.

Scarlett is a Laurel, Mississippi native who was active in gymnastics, band and competitive cheerleading.. Gully was also a member of Spirit Girls from 7th through 12th grade, a nonprofit organization that encourages young girls to participate in community events. During her time in Spirit Girls, Gully discovered a love for the field of Communications. 

Gully attended the University of Southern Mississippi, to study Mass Communications. During her short time as a transfer student at USM, Scarlett started working for USM’s media team as a Photojournalist. 


After completing her studies at USM in December of 2022, she immediately began working as a Multimedia Journalist for KTVE/KARD, serving as a Reporter in South Arkansas for two years.


Gully has a passion for photography, videography, social media management, and music. In her free time, Gully enjoys exploring the great outdoors, playing the flute and spending time with her family, boyfriend, dog, guinea pig, and two cats.
