ESD is thrilled to announce Connor McCurdy as the winner of the 2023 Pickering Economics Art competition! Connor, a nine-year-old student from Hugh Goodwin Elementary School has shown exceptional talent and creativity in his artwork.
Connor's journey began after transferring to the El Dorado School District, where he quickly showed potential for the Gifted and Talented program at Retta Brown. His teacher, Katie King, recognizing his enthusiasm for learning and the need for a differentiated curriculum, ensured he received the support he needed at the G.T. Center.
Connor's artwork, a testament to his talent and dedication, was selected among the top 12 entries in the state. He is grateful for this recognition and proud to represent our district.
