Ms. Kozubski's 6th grade pre AP science classes were able to attend a Cyber Security Expo discussion at South Ark today. Students were exposed to career opportunities within the Information Technology and Cyber Security fields. Their interest in this topic was sparked after their unit on computer building with PIPER computers.
One of their favorite take-aways was learning they could be a legal "hacker" for companies. One speaker said, "You can't defend your company's computer system without knowing where it falls short. To do that, you have to hack it, then learn how to prevent other hacks."
We were so proud of how well our students behaved and their enthusiasm in the topic. They asked great questions and made WMS very proud!
