Alice in Wonderland

Stormey Barker, one of our talented six grade students at Washington Middle School, made one of the backdrops, “The Hollow One” for Alice in Wonderland Jr. to be performed May 11th and 12th.  Stormey won an Honorable Mention at the 2018 Young Arkansas Artists exhibit at the Arkansas Arts Center in Little Rock. The Arkansas Arts Center received a total of 492 pieces and selected only 142 and from there awarded few awards in each category.  Congratulations Stormey!!

These are just a few of the other backdrops which will be projected to a size of 20 or 25 feet at the EHS Auditorium during the Alice in Wonderland Jr. play.

From 200 roses for the Queen of Hearts’s headdress and topiary, to the Cheshire Cat masks, tails, and body furs, to pen and ink backdrops, these magic workers showed what they could do with love, determination, and creativity.

Great work WMS Studio Art Students!  WMS is so proud of you, and don't forget to come see Alice in Wonderland Jr. May 11th and 12th!
