The WMS underwater robotics team, the Eldo shARks, are hard at work on building their robot for the 2020 MATE Northern Gulf Coast Regional ROV Competition! One essential part of the robot are shrouds. Shrouds are a protective device that covers part of each motor to minimize cables and fingers from getting caught in the propellers. Although originally working toward 3D modeling and then printing shrouds for their ROV, the team has found a simpler and more eco-friendly approach. Take a look!
