1st Place Cinematography Award!

Washington Middle School Cinematography students have won first place in the Digital Learning Day 2018 Video Contest in the 5th-8th grade division!  

Arkansas Department of Education Assistant Commissioner, Dr. Eric Saunders, and  Coordinator of Grants and Special Projects, Jeff Killingsworth, visited the school to present a plaque to the class.

The winning video from Mr. Herren's Cinematography class was created by Daisy Davis, Jamari Hill, and Pechone Larry with McKinzie Vartanian and Ahmad Young providing additional voices.  

The purpose of Digital Learning Day is to celebrate and highlight the use of technology to strengthen a student’s learning experience.  The theme for Arkansas' Digital Learning Day is “Digital content creation: students teaching students!”
