7th Grade art students participated in collaboration with Helene Lambert from SAAC.

Art students from Mrs. Reynolds' seventh grade class participated in an art installation sponsored by the South Arkansas Arts Center to promote the upcoming play "Singing in the Rain" streaming April 16-18.  The students collaborated to paint the abstract designed umbrellas under the guidance of Helene Lambert, former art teacher at Barton Junior High and member of SAAC Visual Arts Committee. The installation was inspired by the famous "Umbrellas of Thessaloniki" created by George Zongolopoulos and located in Thessaloniki, Greece. His installation is one of the most photographed sculptures around the world. You can see the installation recreated by the students at SAAC near the announcement sign.
