Building Champions with Every Arrow”

Washington Middle School’s Archery teams have just completed their most dominant and inspiring season yet. With multiple championships, historic firsts, and a long list of personal bests, both the Elementary (5th grade) and Middle School (6th grade) teams raised the bar for competitive archery in Arkansas and on the national stage.


Program Highlights

  • 3D Archery Debut Success: This was the first year where WMS Archery participated in 3D tournaments.

    • Middle School – 1st place at the Arkansas State 3D Tournament

    • Elementary – 2nd place in their first-ever 3D season

  • Regional Domination:

    • 1st place team finishes at Bow Bash, Reindeer Classic, and Last Chance

    • Podium finishes at Cupid Classic and Take 2 Winter Shoot Out


  • STATE CHAMPIONS in both Bullseye divisions:

    • Elementary Team – 1st place out of 30

    • Middle School Team – 1st place out of 30



  • National Competition:

    • Competed in NASP Eastern Nationals in Louisville, KY

    • Elementary Bullseye Team – 6th in the Nation

    • Multiple archers posted personal bests in both Bullseye and 3D


Top Individual Performers

These archers consistently ranked among the best in the state and beyond:

  • Priscilla Martinez – 284 at Bullseye State (1st Overall Female); top finishes all year

  • Zackary Hargett – 285 in 3D State (1st 6th Grade Male); 283 at Nationals

  • Aubrey Kilgore – 283 in 3D State; top 2 Female Archer in multiple tournaments

  • Bentley Boggan – 279 at Reindeer Classic; 278 in 3D Nationals

  • Graysen Newton – 276 at Bullseye State (1st 5th Grade Girl); one of Arkansas’ best

  • Parker Kuhn – 280 at Nationals; consistently in the top 5 Elementary Boys

  • Paxton Bradham & Brayden Patterson – Top 10 placements at nearly every event

  • Dixie Walters – 277 in 3D State; consistent top performer all season

  • Jonsie Bledsoe – 280 at State; always finishing in the top 5


Most Improved Archers

Several students showed remarkable growth over the course of the season:

  • David Mitcham – Rose from middle ranks to shooting personal bests at both 3D and Bullseye Nationals

  • Sidney Primm – Broke into top rankings with back-to-back personal bests in 3D and Bullseye

  • Ryker Rupp-Vinson – Peaked with a personal best at Nationals

  • Raelyn Miller – Closed the season with her top scores of the year

  • Carson Foster – Finished Nationals with his personal best after steadily climbing all year

  • Emery Nipper, Franeshia Fogle, and Briggs Wood – All demonstrated dramatic score improvements from first tournament to last


Looking Ahead

Coach Ethan Kelton and the Archery staff are beyond proud of the commitment, maturity, and sportsmanship this year’s teams displayed. With 5th and 6th graders forming the backbone of both squads, the future of Washington Middle School Archery is brighter than ever.
