WMS Archery Participate in their First Meet

WMS Archery participated in their first meet of the year and Bryant Junior High's Reindeer Classic.  They placed 4th over with a score of 2815.  Justin Hammett led the team with a score of 260 out of 300.  This was high enough to get him a medal for placing 5th overall for the Middle School Boys Division.

"I couldn't be more proud of this team.  They are constantly excited to participate in the sport and they are just an overall great group of kids.  This is SUPER early in the year for WMS to be going to a meet with only having one after-school practice in, but this will help them out in the future.  The kids got to see how a meet is run and how it's scored.  They will be competing against 7th & 8th graders and you can't get experience overnight. Myself and the team are thankful there are schools putting on competitions. Hopefully, we can find one or two more (meets) before Regionals in February. We will continue to get better throughout the year and I'm excited to see where this team will end up once it's all over."  - Coach Kelton
