Book Blast Day 5 Treasure chest and Prize winners

Ms. Gregory would like to extend a big THANK YOU to the El Dorado Education Foundation for supplying our 3D Art students with the means to bring a little spooky cheer to our district in October!

Our students were tasked with creating polka-dot 3D pumpkins out of plastic bags, plaster strips, tape, tinfoil, and paint.

Some of the students' work has been on display in the school office and at Central Office!

Barton is participating in Socktober!
Junior Beta Club is hosting a sock donation drive through Friday, October 30th. Socks must be new and still in the package.
Donations will be collected through 4th period. The class that collects the most pairs will earn a pizza party!

Last week, Ms. McCaig's Intro to Agriculture students learned about basic bunny needs and how they care for their young. These soft little bunnies were ready for naps after getting lots of snuggles from students.

BJH 8th grader Jai Durvasula was recognized at the Arkansas State Board of Education meeting for earning 1st place in the 2026 Arkansas Civics Bee State Finals!

Jai’s accomplishment was highlighted before the State Board as part of the State Board's recognition of Arkansas’ top Civics Bee finalists. Next up, Jai will represent Arkansas at the National Civics Bee competition on October 13–14!

We are proud to see Jai’s achievement recognized at the state level and look forward to cheering him on as he heads to the national competition!

Attention Barton Parents! Barton will provide school supplies this year for 7th & 8th graders. Parents need to provide: backpacks without rollers, kleenex (2 boxes), and Germ-x (2 bottles). Students are ONLY allowed to have CLEAR/PLASTIC water bottles with lids!

YEARBOOK NEWS!! If you purchased a 25-26 yearbook, you will receive your copy during orientation on August 4! Copies for our students that are going to the high school will be delivered to EHS.

Fine Arts Night will take place on Friday, May 15th. Students from MP3 and Choir will perform at the South Arkansas Arts Center at 6:00 pm.
From 7:00- 7:30 pm, there will be a reception for the artwork in the lobby with free food and drinks! Parents, we would be honored to have you!
