make a splash

We are excited to share an opportunity designed to motivate and celebrate student growth as we prepare for the upcoming ATLAS state assessment. Over the next six weeks, our 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade students will be working diligently in reading, math, and science.

We are emphasizing an important message: growth happens through daily effort. The work students put in now — practicing skills, asking questions, correcting mistakes, and staying focused — is what leads to growth on test day.

To celebrate their hard work, we are offering a special swimming celebration at HealthWorks for students who meet the following goal:
• Students must meet their individualized growth goal in at least one tested content area (reading, math, or science).
• Students must not decline in the other two areas.

This incentive is not about being the highest score — it is about individual growth. We want students to understand that effort, persistence, and a positive attitude truly matter.

In the coming weeks, teachers will be:
• Setting academic goals with students
• Tracking progress
• Providing targeted practice and support
• Encouraging a strong growth mindset

We encourage you to support your child by:
• Ensuring regular attendance
• Encouraging nightly reading
• Reviewing math facts and skills
• Speaking positively about effort and perseverance

Our theme is: Work Hard. Grow Strong. Make a Splash!

We believe in every child’s ability to grow, and we are excited to celebrate their hard work. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. Thank you for partnering with us to support your child’s success.
