Yocum Elementary School has been recognized as a 2024-2025 Capturing Kids’ Hearts National Showcase School, a prestigious national honor awarded to schools that excel in creating environments where students feel safe, connected, and engaged. This distinction reflects the unwavering dedication and collaborative spirit of Yocum’s students, staff, and entire school community.
Each year, Capturing Kids’ Hearts evaluates campuses through a rigorous selection process, analyzing performance indicators, gathering staff and student feedback, and examining campus culture. Out of thousands of schools across the country, only 867 campuses were selected for this distinguished honor in the 2024-2025 school year. Schools named National Showcase Schools demonstrate exceptional implementation of the Capturing Kids’ Hearts Process—a relationship-based approach that empowers educators with the tools to build meaningful connections with students and foster positive learning environments.
