Welcome to El Dorado Public Schools!
Thank you for making The Promising Choice to visit or enroll your student in our schools. We value each student - their needs, their skills, their talents - and offer them every opportunity to grow.
El Dorado Schools are unique, innovative, and challenging. We are one of the only schools in the nation to have endowed Chair positions for each of the core curriculum areas - Literacy, Math, and Science. These Chairs support our staff and align curriculum so that our students succeed year after year.
Another unique benefit of attending El Dorado Schools is the opportunity to access the El Dorado Promise Scholarship. This scholarship, funded by Murphy Oil Corporation, provides tuition and fees for all graduates of El Dorado High School who have been enrolled since at least the 9th grade. Follow the El Dorado Promise link in our Menu to learn more about this amazing program.
Because of the Promise, all of our students have the opportunity to attend college. Our staff takes that as a charge to make sure each student is prepared for further education. We begin Pre-AP courses in the 5th grade at Washington Middle School and continue them through Junior High and High School, offering up to 20 AP courses at the high school level.
We support our staff to grow, to find innovative ways to teach students and challenge them to learn and grow as well. No matter what their interests, every student will find a place to belong at El Dorado Schools. Every decision we make, every action we take is about what is best for our students.
