Thank you for visiting this page! This will be the home base for all updates regarding the new Intermediate School. This project will transform the old high school building, located on Timberlane Drive, into a new state-of-the-art intermediate school. This new facility will house 3rd through 6th students in one centralized location, providing an innovative and conducive environment for our young learners.
Demolition: Begins June 10, 2024
The Arboretum will remain open and accessible.
Anticipated Completion Date: September 20, 2024
Work Hours: 6:30 AM - 5 PM
Note: Equipment work will not start until 7 AM.
Concrete Crusher Operations:
The crusher will be mobilized to the site on Monday, June 24th. It will be placed on the South concrete parking lot.
Crushing operations are scheduled to begin on Wednesday, June 26th. These operations will continue Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
*To mitigate dust from the crusher operations, there will be a water overspray system in place.
Stockpile Areas: North and South Ends of the Construction Site
Additional areas may be used if needed.
Demolition Underway:
Phase One - Demolition: The demolition of the old high school building started on June 10, 2024.
Phase Two - Construction: Construction at the new intermediate school will commence after the demolition is complete. Updates on the construction progress will be provided regularly.
Enhanced Learning Environment: The new school will provide modern classrooms, technology, and facilities to enhance the learning experience for students.
Unifying: Combining 3rd through 6th grade students into one building will streamline resources and create a more cohesive educational community.
