The El Dorado School District is thrilled to announce Marissa Rice as the new Head Softball Coach for the Ladycats!
Rice is a proud graduate of El Dorado High School Class of 2017. She returned home after a stellar collegiate career at Belhaven University, where she played softball from 2018 to 2022. Following her graduation from Belhaven University, she rejoined the Ladycat program in the fall of 2022 as an Assistant Coach.
Beyond performance, Marissa is dedicated to building a legacy of empowered young women who leave the program as confident, resilient leaders. “I believe in a program that makes young women stronger—mentally and physically. My goal is for our athletes to develop their athletic abilities, as well as traits that will last them a lifetime,” she says.
With a blend of local roots, collegiate experience, and coaching dedication, Coach Rice is poised to elevate the LadyCats to new heights.
