The El Dorado School District is excited to welcome Kelsey Jones as our newest Behavioral Health Specialist!
Though new to this role, Kelsey is no stranger to the district or our community. She and her husband, Steven Jones—former head football coach for El Dorado High School—have called El Dorado home for the past eight years.
Originally from central Louisiana, Jones began her college journey at LSU before earning her degree in Early Childhood Education from UAM in 2013. After several years in the classroom, she continued her educational path, earning a Master’s in School Counseling from UCA in 2020 and completing additional clinical counseling coursework at SAU in 2023.
Kelsey brings with her a wealth of experience across the educational field—from teaching to counseling—and most recently worked in a clinical setting with Living Well Counseling.
“I’ve gotten to serve in a full range of roles in the education field,” she shared. "I loved my clinical work and feel certain it’s prepared me for this next chapter.”
Returning to ESD feels like coming home. “We’ve been invested in this district both professionally and personally for a long time,” Kelsey said. “It feels like a huge gift to be able to support the staff, teachers, and students who have already given so much to my family.”
When she’s not working, Kelsey prioritizes family time—whether it’s playing wiffle ball in the front yard, sharing meals, or participating in church activities. “It’s not usually quiet,” she laughs, “but it’s always a blessing!”
Please join us in giving Kelsey Jones a warm ESD welcome! 💜
