CONGRATULATIONS to the Wildkittens girls and boys cross country teams for winning the El Dorado Wildcat Invitational this past weekend. Medalists for the Lady Wildkittens include Abby Seymour, Clarabeth Black, Carly Meadows, Lilly Taylor, Jaelynn Dumas and Nadalee Pumphree. Zachary McMillon, Cooper Conner, Jay Reep, Cyrus Eads, Jake Dilworth, and Asa Bryant brought home individual medals in the junior high boys division.
Blended Fridays begin October 9. Students received a flyer today with additional information for parents about blended learning days.

The National Weather Service has issued a tropical storm warning for our area. Hurricane Laura is expected to bring rain and high winds to El Dorado tomorrow. Out of caution, the El Dorado School District will not hold face-to-face classes tomorrow, Thursday, August 27, 2020. All classes will be virtual.
We are aware that some of our onsite students do not have a device at home. Any student who does not have access to a device or the internet will not be penalized and will have opportunities to complete their assignments.
Grab and Go breakfast will be available for pickup from 8:00-10:00 a.m. at Retta Brown Gifted and Talented Center for elementary and middle schools and at El Dorado High School for junior high and high school students.
Decisions about Friday will be announced tomorrow. We realize this is a late announcement and apologize for any inconvenience.
As with any inclement weather situation, we are monitoring updates on Hurricane Laura closely. We do not expect for there to be any changes to our school schedule as a result of the rain and high winds. However, we will continue to monitor the situation and, as always, will act with the safety of our students as our priority. If there are any changes to school schedules or bus routes, they will be posted to our website, social media and communicated through local radio.

**UPDATE**
ALL STUDENTS IN GRADES 7-12, whether enrolled in Wildcat Online Academy or On-Site, must pick up their Chromebook by tomorrow, August 21! Pick up is at the El Dorado High School Arena from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. A parent must be present and bring $25 (cash or check) for insurance.
The 2020-21 School Calendar has been approved. In accordance with the Governor and the ADE, school will begin on August 24. Please make note of the new Orientation dates/procedures and other date changes.
If you received a school-issued iPad to do virtual assignments, please return it to EHS next week. Place the iPad in the black box outside the front entrance Monday-Friday between 7:30 am and 4:00 pm.
