In remembrance of 9/11 this past week, seventh grade social studies classes listened to oral history talks from teachers to learn about their experiences during this tragedy. Students had an opportunity to ask the speakers questions and noted important details about each memory.
In eighth grade social studies, students participated in a gallery walk with enlarged photos from 9/11. They discussed the scenes and wrote about what they saw in the photos.
