
The regular monthly meeting of the El Dorado School Board has been rescheduled to Tuesday, January 19 at 6:00 pm at the TAC House.

The National Weather Service has issued a tropical storm warning for our area. Hurricane Laura is expected to bring rain and high winds to El Dorado tomorrow. Out of caution, the El Dorado School District will not hold face-to-face classes tomorrow, Thursday, August 27, 2020. All classes will be virtual.
We are aware that some of our onsite students do not have a device at home. Any student who does not have access to a device or the internet will not be penalized and will have opportunities to complete their assignments.
Grab and Go breakfast will be available for pickup from 8:00-10:00 a.m. at Retta Brown Gifted and Talented Center for elementary and middle schools and at El Dorado High School for junior high and high school students.
Decisions about Friday will be announced tomorrow. We realize this is a late announcement and apologize for any inconvenience.

The 2020-21 School Calendar has been approved. In accordance with the Governor and the ADE, school will begin on August 24. Please make note of the new Orientation dates/procedures and other date changes.

If you received a school-issued iPad to do virtual assignments, please return it to EHS next week. Place the iPad in the black box outside the front entrance Monday-Friday between 7:30 am and 4:00 pm.

1st grade students enjoyed reading outside today in this beautiful weather!!!!!

5 first grade classes planted African Daisy, Zinnia, Alyssum, Marigold, & Forget-Me-Not seeds in pots during science lab. Mrs. Simpson challenged them to see which seeds would sprout first by planting hers in cupcake holders. Who can resist a challenge??! Results will be posted at a later date!!!

Union County Master Gardeners accepted the challenge today and helped 4 classes of kindergarteners plant their Potato/Pea garden buckets.
