Ms. Watson’s students built irrigation systems to understand how early civilizations started the agricultural development. They had to build canals and levees to help water their crops without flooding from the river.

There are just a few weeks left to get your student's yearbook ordered!

Congratulations to these students for earning the 3rd Nine Weeks AR Reward! 📚

Mrs. Johnston's Agriculture Engineering classes spent several weeks learning about the life cycle of a chicken as well as incubating and hatching baby chicks. Students that met certain criteria were allowed to adopt a chicken and take it home. 🐤

Students in Mrs. Kumar's class took a hands-on approach to learning about mean, median, mode, and range!
Using a deck of cards, students generated their own data sets, worked together to organize the numbers, and calculated each measure of central tendency and range. The activity gave them a fun way to practice sorting numbers, finding patterns, and applying what they’ve learned!

The 6th grade science students learned about why there is blood in all of these places in the body. To further understand this concept, students constructed a model of the different components of blood. Students were able to figure out that corn syrup was used for plasma, sprinkles for platelets, marshmallows for white blood cells, and the cinnamon discs for red blood cells. Students were able to identify that red blood cells are denser than plasma.

Shoutout to Hayes Lester for cashing in his shillings to become Teacher of the Day with Mr. Rynders! 👏
