We are so proud of our students who represented our school at the MathCounts Southwest Regional Competition hosted at Southern Arkansas University! Fourteen of our 6th graders earned the opportunity to compete, and they showed incredible dedication, perseverance, and problem-solving skills throughout the day. We are proud of the hard work they put in to prepare and the way they represented our school with excellence. 👏 Please help us celebrate these students: Cami Doherty, Alexandria Polen, Parker Kuhn, Jack Sawyer, Henry Swafford, Jiya Desai, Jose Mendoza, Maggie Clark, Nathan Rice, Dillon Roblee, Tucker Morgan, Korie Bourgeois, Maverick Nash, and Graysen Newton A special thank you to Dr. and Mrs. Guevara for generously sponsoring lunches in the SAU Cafeteria for our students and staff who attended. Your support helped make this day even more special for our students! We also want to thank Mrs. Saunders and Ace for driving the bus and providing plenty of moral support, tail wags, and pre-competition cuddles along the way!

Mrs. Taylor’s geography classes divided into two groups. One group was Vikings and one group was Europeans. They agreed on laws and created a treaty so that both groups could live peacefully together in one village.

Next week, we will be hosting a Hat Day Fundraiser to support David Lee, Boys & Girls Club Director, and his family after the loss of their home in a house fire. David has given so much to our students and our community, and this is an opportunity for us to give back. Students may wear a hat each day next week for $1, and all funds collected will be donated directly to the Lee family. Additional donations are also accepted in the office. Thank you for supporting one of our own! 💜
