Our book fair is right around the corner. It will be open October 6-10 during school hours and during Parent Teacher Conferences!
The WMS Competition Robotics class is currently raising funds in order to register for the VEX IQ competition season and to purchase field equipment for their robots. We have partnered with Double Good Popcorn. We will receive 50% of the price of each popcorn purchase. To accomplish our goals, we need to earn $900 (make $1800 in sales). Supporters can purchase from the link provided and the popcorn will be sent directly to their home. This is delicious popcorn made in small batches, so it will be fresh and tasty on arrival.
The fundraiser ends at 5 pm on Monday, September 29, 2025 so time to purchase your popcorn is limited.

School spirit from Freedom Week! 🇺🇸
First cowbell celebration! 🐮🔔🎉 What's a cowbell celebration? Oh, I'm glad you asked! It's what we do to celebrate 100% of a class mastering a learning target or skill! Students earn a cool cowbell sticker for each cowbell they master and will be recognized at the end of the year for how many cowbells they've earned!

What Do You Mean?
The 6th-grade science classes started a new curriculum this year called Open Sci Ed. We're currently completing the Thermal Energy Unit. In Lesson 4, the students were required to calculate the mean of their class temperatures. Beau Jones, Tucker Morgan, Parker Kuhn, and Connor McCurdy worked extremely hard to find the mean for a bell ringer yesterday. They were able to figure out the mean without using a calculator. They were able to persevere and get the task done. Job well done!! Keep reaching for the stars.

During their first visit to the library, WMS students cast their vote for their favorite genre out of the options given. Humor was the winner, so Ms. Odom ordered 28 new humor books to add to our library's collection! Encourage your students to stop by the library to take a look at some of the funny books that have already come in and are ready to be checked out. 📚

What is Color Wars? So glad you asked! Color Wars is the first Thursday of every month and a special day that we go ALL OUT in our house colors to show school spirit. Students and staff come dressed in wigs, tutus, hats, sunglasses, face paint and more and have a BLAST! We also have a few themed Color war days in the mix, so check our schedule to stay in the know!
