
Beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday August 7, 2021, and ending at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday August 8, 2021, the State of Arkansas will hold its sales tax holiday allowing shoppers the opportunity to purchase certain Electronic Devices, *School Supplies, School Art Supplies, School Instructional Materials, and Clothing free of state and local sales or use tax.
**School supplies are provided for grades K-8. However, this is a great time for picking up backpacks and recommended supplies!
All retailers are required to participate and may not charge tax on items that are legally tax-exempt during the Sales Tax Holiday.

We are asking that families purchase 3 bottles of hand sanitizer, 4 boxes of Kleenex, and 1 sketch pad for their art rotation. All other supplies will be provided. Supplies will be delievered to classrooms.

Students will follow a new school schedule this fall. School will begin at 7:55am and end at 3:25pm. On Wednesdays, students will dismiss at 2:25pm in order for each individual school to conduct Professional Learning Communities (PLCs). All ESD schools will follow this schedule.


The El Dorado School District is seeking critical feedback from various stakeholders who have significant insight into the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on teaching and learning. Feedback will be used to inform the district's plan for the use of funds received.

Student TShirts will be on sale at WMS Orientation on Aug. 12th. YL- AXL will be $15, 2XL and up will be $17. All shirt orders need to be turned in by Monday, August 30th with payment.

The deadline to submit an application for the 2021-2022 Wildcat Online Academy school year for students entering kindergarten through 4th grade is tomorrow, August 1st. For more information, visit www.eldoradopublicschools.org.


ELEMENTARY: School supplies will be provided free to students in grades K-4 again this school year. The supplies will be given to teachers to distribute to students as they are needed in the classroom.
WASHINGTON MIDDLE: School supplies will be provided for students. Supplies will be delivered to classrooms. Students are asked to bring 3 bottles of hand sanitizer, 4 boxes of Kleenex, and one sketch pad.
BARTON JR. HIGH: Required school supplies will be provided this year for students. Suggested supplies include wired earbuds (wireless earbuds will not be used during school hours), erasable pens (variety of colors), and a backpack.
EL DORADO HIGH does not publish a school supply list before school starts. Teachers will tell students what they will need for each individual class during the first week of school.

This is the last week of our free summer meal program. The food truck will be at Old City Park on Tuesday from 10am-12pm and Hillsboro Townhouse Apartments on Thursday from 10am-12pm.
