
Yesterday Mrs. Mohandas's class played Math Detective, a review game for adding and subtracting decimals.

Gabriel earned a picnic pass in Mrs. Traylor's class the other day and asked if she would come sit with him while he used it.  These two had perfect lunch eating weather out in the picnic area today.

Today Ms. Escamilla's class reviewed for their unit test by completing stations.  Students went through a Kahoot! station, a Trifold station, a sorting game station, and the famous "Trashket" station!

Innovation Station completed Challenge 1 of The Great Desert Island. They built a hut for Sir Harley Houndstooth III, who was the only surviving passenger of a ship that crashed onto a deserted island. Everyone’s hut withstood the wind storm (a powerful fan). Next, they will be creating a bridge to help him cross over a lagoon full of crocodiles. 



Mini STEAM reviewed triangle classification yesterday using Kahoot! and GimKit.

Congrats to  Danny Guadron!  He won our drawing for  a brand new bicycle.  Thank you for showing kindness Danny.  Even though national bullying month is now over, WMS will continue to encourage using kindness all the time.

Students in Ms. Escamilla's Science class completed a Glow Stick Lab asking, "Will a glow stick glow brighter if placed in cold or hot water?"  They explained the movement of particles causing the reaction and why when you place in the freezer it glows longer.





Yesterday Ms. Higgin's class listened to Monster Mash and wrote spooky stories by flashlight for English.

Yesterday was costume day at WMS! We saw so many great costumes.  We are trying hard to upload them to a Facebook Album, but we are having technical difficulties, so be looking for more photos soon!



Yesterday in the car rider line we found a bird with an injured wing.  Huge thank you to Mac's Tree Service for a bird rescue today!

Today was jersey and tutu day!  We saw a lot of school spirit!  Don't forget tomorrow is costume day, remember to follow dress code!

Melissa Powell came to visit our Shake Competition Class yesterday! She helped our students with  non verbal and verbal communication skills in an interview setting.  The students had so much fun and learned so much! Thank you Mrs. Powell!

Students in Agriculture Engineering pulled 32 radishes from their garden!  We served them in the cafeteria today for 6th grade lunch!


Today is College Day for our Homecoming Spirit Week!  Our students are really showing their spirit today with all their college gear!!
