Students in Braswell's AO class were given 25 straws and a roll of masking tape. They were told to try to build the biggest house they could. This group created the only completed house that Braswell had all week, and they included the door in their project. They even used their extra pieces to make a bed and a couch to go inside of the house. #creativeminds

Thank you to our leadership for always planning the sweetest little "pick me ups" for our teachers during testing! Todays treat? A pickle bar!
To represent: "We would be in a “pickle” without you!"

Happy National Principals' Day to our wonderful leader, Mrs. Hale. She is a blessing to us all. Here's what some of our staff have to say about this lovely lady!
"When I think of Mrs. Hale, a few words that come to mind are compassionate, driven, and FIERCE. All three of these attributes make her the best boss to work for and the best principal around. There’s never a moment where she doesn’t support her people, and it’s one of the many reasons we love her. Everyone needs a Hale in their life—but find your own because she’s OURS. 😉" -Brinkley Ashcraft
"It is always so evident that Mrs. Hale loves the students and staff at WMS. She is constantly searching for ways to make everyone feel loved and appreciated. She is definitely making a difference in WMS and in me personally by the way she treats people with kindness and grace, always leaving people better than she found them!" -Megan Saunders
"Mrs. Hale is very approachable, encouraging and personable with both students and staff!"
"Mrs. Hale loves the students and staff at WMS! She goes above and beyond to make sure that WMS is the BEST school around. We are blessed to have her as our principal!" -Melissa Upchurch
"Mrs Hale is always so encouraging and positive! She is full of awesome ideas and always is there to help in any way she can." -Courtney Bilo
"Mrs.Hale is a “unicorn” principal. She is a rare find. She cares so much about her staff, students, and school, and you can see that in everything she does everyday. She goes the extra mile to get to know everyone that is in our school and it shows. Washington is. Much better school for teachers and students because of her." -Katie Taylor
“Hale is a great principal that goes above and beyond to find ways to set WMS apart from other schools. If it benefits the school, she is all in.” -Ethan Kelton
"A principal as supportive and encouraging as Mrs. hale is so rare to find and we are ridiculously luck to have her." Ms. Waggoner
"WMS is incredibly blessed to have Mrs. Hale as our principal. She stops at nothing to ensure her staff and her students are well cared for and continuously encouraged." -Mrs. Murphy

Happy Administrative Professionals Day! We are so thankful for Mrs. Moore and Mrs. Holt. Their organization, dedication to our community, and unwavering support are the backbone of our school. Thank you for all that you do!
Love,
Your WMS Family
