Mr. Herren and Ms. Turner's classes are hard at work creating 3D models of atoms using BlocksCad programming! For this project, students chose an element from the periodic table, researched it, and created an accurate 3D Bohr model of an atom.

The Eldo shARks Underwater Robotics team is at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab in Dauphin Island, AL for the MATE Northern Gulf Coast Regional ROV Competition. Team members have worked hard all year on their Kronos II ROV. Good luck, shARks!
Students in Ms. Kozubski's science class recently built solar ovens. The design, construction and testing of solar ovens is an engineering project that combines science materials with mechanical engineering through harnessing heat transfer mechanisms.

6th grade boys Basketball tryouts for Barton's next year team are Wednesday, April 17th after school @ WMS gym.
We had a wonderful time on the Magical Mystery Tour. Students participated in the math and science day at Silver Dollar City, explored Marvel Cave, swam, and made delicious s'mores! Great job students on working hard to earn this trip!

Last night Washington Middle School was recognized at the El Dorado School District School Board Meeting for our cinematography, archery team, teacher of the month, and student of the month! Congrats to all teams, David Valero, and Nicole McPhate!
