Hero of the week Zach Anders Mr. Anders favorite color is blue. His favorite subject in school was science and math. Mr. Anders favorite food is Mexican. When he grew up he wanted to be a biologist and work with ocean animals. He also wanted to be a teacher. Mr. Anders wanted a job that helped kids learn and grow academically and physically. He has been a 1st grade teacher for 2 years at Yocum Primary.

Hero of the week Ashley Johnson Mrs. Johnson's favorite color is pink. Her favorite subject in school was reading. Mrs. Johnson's favorite food is chocolate chip cookies. When she grew up she wanted to be an astronaut or opera singer!! Mrs. Johnson wanted to be a teacher because she wanted everyone to love science as much as she did. She says kids are natural scientists! Mrs. Johnson has taught 3rd grade for 3 years all at Yocum!!

Mrs. Barnett wanted to be an architect then a teacher when she grew up. She decided she wanted to be a teacher after teaching classes in church as a teenager and loved it. Mrs. Barnett has been teaching 1st grade at Yocum for 4 years and has taught preschool before coming to Yocum.
