1st grade students enjoyed reading outside today in this beautiful weather!!!!!

5 first grade classes planted African Daisy, Zinnia, Alyssum, Marigold, & Forget-Me-Not seeds in pots during science lab. Mrs. Simpson challenged them to see which seeds would sprout first by planting hers in cupcake holders. Who can resist a challenge??! Results will be posted at a later date!!!

Union County Master Gardeners accepted the challenge today and helped 4 classes of kindergarteners plant their Potato/Pea garden buckets. #wearegrowingfood #yocumschoolrocks

Councilman Andre Rucks stopped by to give the kindergarten classes some encouraging words and a great story about finding your talent. They had the best time and the visit was filled with positive energy and LOTS of giggles. Thank you for giving back to our community ❤️ #yocumschoolrocks

Santa will be in El Dorado tonight in conjunction with the cyadowntown event. He will be at corner by Banc Corp South from 3-7 PM.
