El Dorado High School Graduation Ceremony will take place this evening at Memorial Stadium beginning at 8pm.  In the case of inclement weather, graduation will be held in the El Dorado High School Wildcat Arena at 8:30pm.  Graduation is a ticketed event. Each person attending graduation, regardless of age, must have a ticket. This includes a child that would sit on a lap. Each graduate received 5 tickets for the arena and 11 tickets for the stadium at graduation practice this morning. These tickets are separate and cannot be used interchangeably.  We are monitoring the weather closely and will decide at the appropriate time if moving locations is required. We are making every effort to host graduation as normally scheduled. If that is not possible, please remember the ceremony will be live-streamed.  To view the 2021 Graduation Ceremony, visit https://youtu.be/u4e4drYNmNk. Class of 2021, we are proud of your accomplishments over the last thirteen years, especially all you have overcome your senior year! We wish you the best on your next adventure!

The National Weather Service has issued a tropical storm warning for our area. Hurricane Laura is expected to bring rain and high winds to El Dorado tomorrow. Out of caution, the El Dorado School District will not hold face-to-face classes tomorrow, Thursday, August 27, 2020. All classes will be virtual. We are aware that some of our onsite students do not have a device at home. Any student who does not have access to a device or the internet will not be penalized and will have opportunities to complete their assignments. Grab and Go breakfast will be available for pickup from 8:00-10:00 a.m. at Retta Brown Gifted and Talented Center for elementary and middle schools and at El Dorado High School for junior high and high school students. Decisions about Friday will be announced tomorrow. We realize this is a late announcement and apologize for any inconvenience.
