The Department of Education and Governor Hutchison announced today that public schools should push back our start dates for the 2020-21 school year. They now require school to start between August 24 and August 26. The El Dorado School District is working now to plan the best options for our students and staff and will release more information on our start date soon.

Report Cards for students in grades 3-12 were mailed out today. Due to COVID-19, K-2 students will not receive a final Standards Based Report Card this year. Thank you, students and parents, for all of your hard work finishing out the school year during this quarantine!

The Summer Meal Program begins today, providing meals to any child 18 and under in our area. Meals are available on Mondays (breakfast and lunch for 2 days) & Wednesdays (breakfast and lunch for 3 days). Pick up meals at Northwest or Washington between 11:00-12:30. Meals are also being delivered on Mondays & Wednesdays to three locations: Haygood Neal, St. John Baptist Church and Wildwood Apartments.

We want to thank all of our staff, bus drivers, and cafeteria workers who worked to serve thousands of meals during this quarantine over the last two months. If you received a school-issued iPad to do virtual assignments, please return it to EHS next week. Place the iPad in the black box outside the front entrance Monday-Friday between 7:30 am and 4:00 pm.

Elementary students - Come see your teachers one last time for this school year and pick up any items you might have left at school on Tuesday, May 26 from 10 am - 12 pm. You can drive through, wave to your teacher and pick up your items without leaving your car!
