Hugh Goodwin Elementary School is open each Thursday in July from 11:30-1:00 for all El Dorado elementary students to get some practice on their AR tests. If you’ve been reading books this summer, come get some extra practice on these tests and be entered to win a $150 Walmart gift card for every 5 points you earn. This week, UCAPS will bring the Paws Squad to cheer you on during your AR test. Come take a test and bring a donation for UCAPS - newspapers, laundry detergent, GermX, paper towels and pet foods are always welcome!

The Free Summer Meals program will be closed July 4 & 5 in observance of Independence Day. We will re-open Monday, July 8 at 8:00 am for breakfast and noon for lunch. Come eat with us and help us reach our goal of 15,000 meals for July!

The Arkansas Activities Association has declared June 23-July 7 as Athletics Dead Weeks, giving student athletes a break from practices and sports events. Students will not be allowed at any school sports facilities during these two weeks and the football field cannot be used. The track at Memorial Stadium will remain open to the public.
