After School Care is available to students in grades K-6 throughout the El Dorado School District. This program provides a place for students to get homework help and a nutritious snack in a fun, safe, and familiar environment until parents can get off work.

With the retirements of Geneva Moss and Betty Newton, who ran the After School program, we are pleased to announce that the Boys & Girls Club of El Dorado will now manage After School Care. The Club will provide their Prime Time program at Hugh Goodwin, Northwest and Yocum elementary schools from 3:15-5:30 pm each day that school is in session. According to David Lee, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club, “Our vision is to continue the wonderful programming [of the After-School Care Program] and add proven Boys & Girls Club programs to enhance the overall experience.”

Planning is still underway and more details will be announced as they become available.

Your child/children will be able to remain at their school, or be bused to one of the After School locations, for the Prime Time Program for just $8 per day. To enroll your child, complete the Registration Form below or find it on our website.
