Registration Information for 2020-21 School Year

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, El Dorado Schools has rescheduled the dates and restructured the formats to register for the 2020-21 school year.

SIBLING REGISTRATION

Parents with children already enrolled in Kindergarten through 3rd grade at one of our elementary schools, who have a child living in the same home that will be starting Kindergarten this year can take part in Sibling Registration online beginning May 1 through May 8. Parents will complete the online form then be prompted to a secure site to upload the required documents to complete enrollment. These documents are: Birth Certificate, Shot Record and Proof of Residence (a bill dated in the last 30 days). A copy of the child’s social security card is also required but, to maintain the safety and security of our students, will not be uploaded online. A copy of the child’s social security card should be dropped off at the Administration Office (200 W. Oak St.) by May 8. The office is currently open Monday-Thursday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.

KINDERGARTEN/NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION

Open Enrollment for Kindergarten and new students will take place May 15 beginning at 7:00 am at El Dorado High School. Due to COVID-19, we are providing a contact-less, drive-through drop-off registration process. Kindergarten registration packets were delivered to many local preschools prior to the closure of schools due to COVID-19. However, if parents need a packet, they can pick one up at the Administration Office at 200 W. Oak St. between 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Monday through Thursday or download it to be printed at http://www.eldoradopublicschoo.... The packet must be completed and copies of all documentation attached in order for the registration to be accepted. No copies will be able to be made at the registration drop off. The required documentation is a copy of the child’s: Birth Certificate, Shot Record, Social Security Card, and a Proof of Residence (bill dated within the last 30 days)

Parents still have the option to express their preference for the school their child will attend. Registrations will be processed in the order they are received and students will be placed in schools on a first come, first served basis. Parents will be notified of their child’s school placement at the beginning of June. Because the high school is still receiving student traffic for AMI packet pick up and drop off, parking cars in front of EHS in the days leading up to registration will be strictly prohibited.

For any questions related to registration, please contact El Dorado Schools Administration Office at (870) 864-5006. Follow the District on Facebook and Twitter or visit www.eldoradopublicschools.org for more information.
