The Arkansas Center for Health Improvements (www.achi.net) is collecting and reporting data related to COVID-19 cases throughout the state. One of the ways they are breaking down information is by school district.
Recent ACHI statistics indicate 873 COVID cases in the El Dorado School District as reported by the El Dorado News Times. To clarify, this count includes all positive COVID-19 cases within the entire zoned area of the district, not within the schools. Since the beginning of school on August 24 to date, there have been 53 students and 35 staff test positive for COVID-19 out of nearly 4,800 students and staff within the schools.
The El Dorado School District remains committed to the health and safety of our students and staff. We are working diligently to maintain protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19 while also providing quality education and meeting the needs of every student.
