Congratulations to the El Dorado School District March Honorees from El Dorado High School.

Student of the Month is Madilyn Bonsall. Madi is a senior and the daughter of Craig and Amanda Bonsall. Madi is a member of the soccer team and tennis team, secretary of the Student Council, Key Club president, an office worker, leads worship at her church, and does all that while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. She plans to attend Ouachita Baptist University in the fall and major in business and marketing.

Teachers said: Madi has a positive attitude, is a hard worker in both athletics and her studies. Madi always has a sweet word to say and a smile to go with it!

Principal Sherry Hill said: Madi is a student I have enjoyed watching grow since she was in the 7th grade. She is a kind young lady, a hard worker, and a positive influence on others. I have never known anyone to say an unkind word about her. Madi is a student you notice for all the right reasons. She is friendly to all and helpful to others. She is a great example of what folks call a well-rounded kid!

Classified Employee of the Month is Missy Passmore. Mrs. Passmore is the principal's secretary, married to Chester Passmore III, and is the mom of three children: Lexi, a 2020 graduate; Hannah a 9th grader; Ched a 7th grader. Missy joined the district as the principal's secretary at Retta Brown and held that position for three years before moving to EHS this past year.

Fellow co-workers said: Missy is the bedrock of our school. She is always happy to help anyone, even if it is not really in her job description. Missy never misses a beat!

Her principal, Mrs. Hill said: [Missy] is friendly, but firm when needed, kind, patient, and very funny! She exhibits the best qualities in a secretary but also is willing to help out in many areas that are not her responsibility. She is very creative and helps me plan activities for the staff. If she has ever had a bad day, it has not shown. She is friendly and supportive every day of the week. In a very short time, she has become an integral part of the culture at EHS!

Mrs. McDuffie, Literacy Facilitator, sadi: Madison is a dedicated teacher with a compassionate heart for her students. She is a true servant-leader who is quick to share knowledge and resources and is always ready and willing to help feeling teachers and ALL students at EHS to be successful.

Principal Sherry Hill said: Mrs. Campbell is everything a teacher of the month should be. She is a hard worker, relates well with her students, and is an important member of the English team. She is able to work with many different personalities in a positive way. Her class activities are very engaging. She is one of the best at managing in-person students along with virtual students in the same class and being effective for all. Mrs. Campbell is one I can always count on to do her best for her students.
