ASHLEE CURTIS

The El Dorado School District would like to announce Coach Ashlee Curtis as the new Head Girls Basketball Coach. Coach Curtis has been a part of the coaching staff at EHS and serving as interim coach this summer.

Athletic Director Phillip Lansdell said, “We are excited to have Ashlee Curtis as our new Varsity Girls’ Basketball Coach. Coach Curtis brings a very positive attitude and outlook to our program. She is a hard-working, enthusiastic, and caring person who we know will move the program forward. She already knows our student-athletes and has coached many of them. She took over the summer program in the absence of a head coach and did a good job.”

Coach Curtis expressed her excitement about moving into this new position, “I’m honored to be selected as the Head Coach of such an awesome group of young ladies. Over the last few years, I’ve been involved in their growth, not only on the basketball court but with their academic and personal lives as well. I am so passionate about giving our student-athletes a chance to be successful on and off the court. I’m excited and pray to continue to be a positive impact on their lives. Over the last few years, LCB has become a big part of my family’s life.”

Over the summer, the Lady Cat Basketball (LCB) team has continued their workouts and attending team camps. Coach Curtis has been an integral part of keeping the program running throughout this transition. “This summer has been very productive. We’ve grown individually. We’ve bonded as a team, working in the gym, team camps, and practices. We are looking forward to the season as we continue to work hard to be the best possible LCB team we can be. I see so much potential in these girls. I’m excited for what the year holds.”

A member of the Wildcat Family for four years, Coach Curtis and her family, Coach DeAnthony Curtis, Karsyn (8), and Kamdyn (4), bleed purple and white. “I’m extremely grateful they chose me. I plan to continue to make LCB and the entire Wildcat community proud.”
