Congratulations to the El Dorado High School Band!
The EHS Wildcat Band competed Tuesday, October 19 in Hamburg at the ASBOA Region 3 Marching Assessment. The band received 3 First Division Ratings. This is the highest score a band can receive. By earning this, the band will now advance to the State Marching Contest in War Memorial Stadium on November 2.
"This is a huge achievement for our students. It’s the equivalent of a conference championship and advancing to state in a sport. Our students have achieved this every year they’ve competed, " El Dorado Band Director, Robert Kloap, said. "We are very proud of their achievements attained through their hard work and dedication."
On October 23rd, the band traveled to Sterlington High School in Sterlington, Lousiana, to compete at the Panther Band Invitational. The band received all 1st Division ratings along with percussion. The band also earned Outstanding Band in Class 2. Another great competition!
The El Dorado High School Marching Band will travel to Little Rock this coming Tuesday to compete in the State Marching Contest. Good luck and safe travels!
