When Wildcat Online Academy began in 2020-2021, it was a response to an immediate need for remote learning. The El Dorado School District believes that every student deserves the opportunity to a quality education, and while our teachers have overcome obstacles and growing pains in order to provide a digital learning option, we felt it was important to revisit our way of delivering this option and ensure we are doing what is best for our students and staff.
In June, the El Dorado School Board voted to move forward with changes in Wildcat Online Academy. Those changes were taken before the Arkansas State Board of Education today and approved for the 2022-2023 school year. We are excited to announce that as of today, Wildcat Online Academy will remain a 100% online option for students in grades 5th - 12th, taught by Flex Point Global teachers.
The Wildcat Online Academy (WOA) allows ESD students in 5th - 12th grades to choose virtual instruction that is developed and presented through teachers from Flex Point Global. Please note: The curriculum and method for delivery for WOA for the 2022-2023 school year is changing from previous school years. Each student is required to submit a specific amount of work each week to maintain the appropriate pace decided on by the teacher and student. The number of required weekly submissions depends on the course taken. Failure to maintain pace results in warnings, reduced grades, and, if unheeded, withdrawal from the course.

Parents and students who apply for Wildcat Online Academy agree to the requirements of the program as outlined in the WOA Parent/Student Contract.
Interested students may complete the Application to Request to Enroll on ESD’s website. The deadline to enroll for the 1st semester is July 31. If you wish for your child to be considered for enrollment, please click here to visit the application page.
WOA will not be available for students entering Kindergarten - 4th grade. If your student was enrolled in WOA during the 2021-2022 school year and will be entering 1st-4th grade this fall, they will return to their home school.
If your student was enrolled in WOA during the 2021-2022 school year and will be entering 5th-12th grade this fall, they must apply to be considered for enrollment if interested in WOA for the 2022-2023 school year. To be accepted into the WOA program for the 2022-2023 school year, applicants must meet the established criteria listed in the FAQs.
Parents will be notified no later than August 12, 2022, if their student’s application has been accepted.
