The 2025-2026 school year kicks off on Wednesday, August 13th!! If you missed the ESD Back to School Guide in the August Newsletter, here are a few reminders! 

Back-to-School Checklist
Don’t miss a thing as you prepare for the new school year!

  • Attend important back-to-school events (see Important Dates below!)

  • Review supply lists and purchase any supplies needed for the new school year (see the Supply List section below). Remember, supplies are FREE for grades K-4, while some supplies are provided for grades 5-12.

  • August 7, 2025:

    • WMS Orientation, 8 am - 4 pm

  • August 8, 2025:

    • EHS Orientation (only for 9th grade and new students)

      • 10am - 11:30pm Last Names A-Ha

      • 12:30 pm Last Names He-O

      • 2 pm - 3:30 pm Last Names M-Z

  • August 11, 2025:

    • Elementary Orientation, noon - 6 pm

  • August 12, 2025:

    • BJH 7th Grade Orientation (Parent Meeting followed by Schedule Pickup)

      • Last Name A-L -- 8:30 am

      • Last Name M-Z -- 10:30 am

    • BJH 8th Grade Orientation (Schedule Pickup)

      • 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

  • ESD Board Meeting, 6 pm

  • First Day of School: Wednesday, August 13, 2025

Arrival and Dismissal Times
School arrival and dismissal times for the 2024-25 school year are:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:55 am - 3:25 pm

  • Wednesday: 7:55 am - 1:30 pm

Students can be dropped off beginning at 7:30 am. Parents should stay in the vehicle during drop-off and pick-up. Please be patient with school employees as they assist students in and out of vehicles.

Bus Routes
Visit the school website to see bus information for the 2025-26 school year. Bus routes will be available the week of August 4th.

School Meals
Breakfast will be provided for all K-12 students free of charge. We encourage every guardian to get their child to school early for breakfast.

  • Allergy forms can be found HERE.

There will be no outside lunches brought into the building after school starts. Students who bring their lunch to school will be able to bring their lunch with them.

Supply List
School supplies will be provided free to students in grades K-4. WMS and BJHS will provide some school supplies for students.

  • WMS students need to bring a backpack, 4 boxes of Kleenex, 4 bottles of hand sanitizer, and 1 box of Clorox wipes.

  • BJHS students need to bring a backpack, 2 boxes of Kleenex, and 2 bottles of hand sanitizer.

  • EHS students will need to bring a binder, notebook, pen, and paper.

Teachers will pass out class materials lists during orientation or the first week of school. Supply lists are based on the needs of the individual class.

*Students are encouraged to bring their own water bottle to refill as needed. 

Immunizations
All students must be up-to-date with their immunizations to start school on August 13, 2025. The school nurse must have an up-to-date immunization record or an exemption form for every student. Please take the time to read the immunization requirements and follow the proper steps to make sure your child can attend school this fall.

Volunteer Information
If you are interested in volunteering within the El Dorado School District, please make plans to attend one of the following Volunteer Training Workshops: 

Volunteer trainings will be held at College Avenue Church of Christ, located at 1817 North College Avenue.

  • August 21, 2025, from 1 pm - 2:30 pm

  • August 26, 2025, from 6 pm - 7:30 pm

  • January 16, 2026, from 1 pm - 2:00 pm

If you are unable to attend one of these trainings, please contact the campus Family and Community Engagement Coordinator to make different arrangements for volunteer training.

*Anyone who plans on volunteering in ESD schools, including activities such as assisting in an instructional program, volunteering in the office, working with students, or acting as a chaperone on a trip, MUST attend one of the annual training workshops before participating in volunteer activities.
