device check out procedures

The El Dorado School District provides each student with a Chromebook during the school year. Devices must be checked out at the beginning of the year and checked in at the end of the school year or when a student leaves the district. 

All students are encouraged to pay the $25.00 per device insurance plan to cover common damages. The insurance plan does NOT cover lost or stolen devices! Please bring exact cash or check only. 

Accounts from 2020-2021 must be cleared before students can check out a device for this school year. 

2021-22 Chromebook Usage Agreement - print and bring with you

*El Dorado School District will provide every student in K-12 with access to a device; therefore, students will not need to purchase or bring their own device to school. Student-owned devices will not be used in classrooms during the 2021-2022 school year.

Elementary Check-Out Information

Onsite elementary students in grades K-4 have access to devices in their classrooms and do not take devices home. 

Wildcat Online Academy (WOA) students enrolled in grades K-4 will need to check out a device before school begins. Please refer to the schedule below for pick-up information.

If you are unable to attend during your scheduled check-out time, you may stop by EHS on Wednesday, August 18th from 2:45-4:00pm.

Chromebook Device Check-Out for K-4 WOA 

Students enrolled in WOA may pick up their school-issued devices on August 11th and 12th in the EHS Arena. Students are encouraged to pay the $25 insurance to cover common damages of the device.

  • August 11th, 10am-12pm, 1:30-3pm
  • August 12th, 10am-12pm, 1:30-3pm

Grades 5-12 Check-Out Information

Students entering grades 5-12 have the opportunity and are encouraged to check out their school-issued device* before school begins. 

WOA students need to follow the same schedule to pick up their devices. 

Please refer to the schedule below to know when to pick up your student's device.

If you are unable to attend during your scheduled check-out time, you may stop by EHS on Wednesday, August 18th from 2:45-4:00pm.

Chromebook Device Check-Out for Washington Middle School 

Parents and guardians will be able to check out devices at orientation from 12-6pm. They need to bring $25 for the insurance and will have to fill out the insurance paperwork.

  • August 12th, 12-3pm, 5th grade
  • August  12th, 3-6pm, 6th grade

Chromebook Device Check-Out for Barton Jr. High School 

Parents and guardians will be able to check out devices at orientation from 4-6pm. They need to bring $25 for the insurance and will have to fill out the insurance paperwork.

  • August 11th, 4-6pm, 7th-and 8th-grade orientation for students with last names beginning with A-M
  • August 12th, 4-6pm, 7th-and 8th-grade orientation for students with last names beginning with N-Z

Chromebook Device Check-Out for El Dorado High School

Students of El Dorado High School have the opportunity and are encouraged to check out their school-issued device before school begins. Please refer to the schedule below to know when to pick up your student's device.

  • Seniors: Device check-out is August 3rd, 4th, or 5th during their senior picture time slot in the library. If you have not scheduled your senior picture time, please visit THIS LINK to sign up.
  • Juniors: Device check-out is August 9th, 10am-12pm and 1-3pm in the arena.
  • Sophomores: Device check-out is August 12th, 10am-12pm and 1-3pm in the arena.
  • Freshmen: Device check-out is August 11th in the arena after your orientation time by last name: 
    • 9-10:30am  A-Ha
    • 10:30-12pm He-N
    • 1:30-3pm O-Z

Please have the Chromebook Usage Agreement filled out with a parent's signature or have a parent with you.
