Griffin with representatives of AIPRO

The Arkansas Energy Education Foundation (AEEF) recognized El Dorado educator Jennifer Griffin as the 2020 Arkansas Energy Rocks! Outstanding Educator for her work at Northwest Elementary School. The award was presented during the Arkansas Independent Producer and Royalty Owners (AIPRO) virtual annual meeting on October 28.

“The foundation’s mission is to support outreach and education programs that share the positive environmental and economic benefits of Arkansas’s oil and natural gas community,” said AEEF President Bill Hanna, with Hanna Oil and Gas Company. “We are pleased to honor Jennifer for her work with students to promote a greater understanding of energy issues.”

Griffin has taught in the El Dorado School District for 20 years. She has taught second, third and fourth grades and has also been the Literacy Facilitator, Math Facilitator, and Science Facilitator. In the summer, she earned a master’s degree in Library Media Science and is starting a new journey as the librarian at Northwest Elementary.
