This weekend, Troupe 42 had an incredible time at the 2025 Arkansas Thespian Festival! Our talented students shined in competitions and workshops, showcasing their passion and hard work. Way to go!

This week, JyNickalas Wilson, Student Council President at Murmil Education Center, proudly participated in Kids Count Day at the Capitol—an event dedicated to empowering future leaders! ✨
Wilson had the incredible opportunity to shadow Senator Fred Love, gaining firsthand insight into the legislative process. He attended committee meetings, participated in a legislative luncheon, and met with Representative Matthew Shepherd—making valuable connections to support his leadership journey.

The monthly meeting of the El Dorado School Board will take place tonight at 6 pm in the Central Office Board Room. The meeting is open to the public.
Need help completing your FAFSA? Have questions about financial aid?
EHS will host FAFSA Frenzy on Thursday, February 13th from 9:00-6:30 in the EHS Library! College and Career Coaches and Financial Aid Representatives from the region will be available to assist with FAFSA completion and answer questions regarding financial aid including Pell Grants, student loans, etc.. There will be door prizes, food, and much more.

Congratulations to the winners of the 2025 Union County Spelling Bee!

Make plans to attend the HPV Parent Night on February 5th in the Barton Junior High Cafeteria!
The event will feature a short 45-minute presentation covering what HPV is, details about the vaccine, and its safety. After the presentation, the UAMS Mobile Health Unit will be parked outside, offering free HPV vaccines to anyone interested.
This is a great opportunity to get informed and take advantage of free vaccinations!

All schools will dismiss at 2 pm on Tuesday, February 11th, and Thursday, February 13th for Parent/Teacher Conferences. Parent/Teacher Conferences are from 3:30 pm-6:30 pm on each day.

Reminder: All ESD schools will be closed on Monday, January 20th in observance of MLK day. We look forward to welcoming our students back on Tuesday, January 21st!
