Congratulations to Mrs. Jennifer Michaels for being named Orchestra Director of the Year by the Arkansas Chapter of the American String Teachers Association (ASTA)! 🎉
This prestigious honor is awarded based on nominations from fellow orchestra directors and ASTA members across the state, followed by a statewide vote. Jennifer’s dedication to her students, leadership within ASTA, and passion for growing orchestra programs in Arkansas have made a lasting impact.

EHS band students closed out the week on a High Note!
✨ On Thursday, ULM Band Director Allen Parrish led our Symphonic Band, sharing his expertise and passion for music.
✨ Later in the day, our Jazz Band was treated to a special performance by the UAM Jazz Band, filling the room with incredible energy and sound!

We’re thrilled to celebrate our seniors’ academic achievements at the 18th Annual Academic Signing Day on Tuesday, April 8th! This special event honors our students’ hard work and future plans, and we are honored to welcome Arkansas Governor Sarah Sanders as our keynote speaker!
EHS Chamber Orchestra took the stage at the Region III Concert Assessment in Magnolia, and they played their hearts out! Their hard work and dedication paid off with an Excellent 2nd Division rating on stage and a Superior 1st Division rating in sight-reading!

The El Dorado School Board's monthly meeting will be held on Monday, March 10, at 6 p.m. in the Central Office Board Room. The meeting is open to the public.
All ESD schools will dismiss at 2:30 pm on Friday, March 21st, for Spring Break!
The Wildcat Café has been recognized by DECA Headquarters as an Outstanding Gold SBE (School-Based Enterprise) for the 11th year in a row!
EHS is one of only two schools in the state to receive this honor. 🌟👏
