*SENIORS, You have about 3 weeks to place your order or pay off a deposit on senior ads for the yearbook. Spaces are first-come, first serve, so you may want to get moving on that! Come by and see Mrs. Cross for an order form if you need it. Yearbooks for EVERYONE are still available for pre-order!

*Teachers, please check the list for Biology Interim Makeups and send those students to the 1700 hall to test - if they are not going to Manufacturing Day.

*The following seven student musicians had a remarkable experience this past Saturday: Meyah Hampton, Paris Scarbrough, Latrice Johnson, Keira Dixon, Michael McCleese, Tai'Jah Parker, and Zephania Valentine all sang college-level solos for Solo Competition. Not only did these students receive Excellent and Superior ratings, they got to perform with an amazing piano accompanist and work individually with a college vocal instructor. You can witness these solos and more at the Spring Choir Concert on Thursday, March 14 at 6PM in our Performing Arts Center. Admission is free...

*Juniors: The ACT is tomorrow, Tuesday, February 27th. You will go to your testing site when the first bell rings in the morning. Charge your Chromebooks. Bring your chargers. All junior Southark students will not attend Southark that day as well. Be on time.

*If you would like to participate in the Spring Blood Drive on Feb 22, check your email for the sign up sheets. You must be age 16 and up to donate. Ages 16 & 17 require parent permission. See Coach A for the permission form.

*Book Club will meet this Thursday, Feb. 22 at 7:20am in the EHS Library

*Quiz Bowl will have practice this Thursday (2/22) after school in room 2608. If you are interested in joining Quiz Bowl, please contact Mr. Perez or come by during practice.

*Seniors, join us on Wednesday, February 21st to receive assistance completing your FAFSA application. Be sure to create an account if you have not already, using the website studentaid.gov. If you need instructions check for emails from your counselors and Promise Director.

*For everyone except Seniors, today you will receive a purple quarter sheet to compile teacher recommendations. Students you will take that purple sheet with you to all of your classes to receive recommendations. Tomorrow in homeroom, you will use them to make selections for core classes.

FCCLA will be selling crush soda for $2 at lunch from Wednesday, Feb. 7th to Monday, Feb. 12th and will deliver them on Valentine's Day. And don't worry if you don't have cash, we take CashApp!

*Congratulations to the Troupe 42 members who competed at state festival this weekend. Troupe 42 was awarded the status of Gold Troupe for this year. Becca Parks, Kalla Fudge, and Victoria Sanchez recieved awards for All State Cast for our one act "Bus Stop." Demyah Charles received an award for All State Crew for "Bus Stop." Tiffanie Duke recieved the award for Honor Thespian for Troupe 42. Riya Nelson competed for solo musical and Rion Jones competed in costume design. Mary Claire Parker competed in solo acting and placed as Best in Show for the state of Arkansas. Our tech challenge team competed in various challenges with our backdrop fold recieving a superior rating. Team included Mary Claire Parker, Preston Huitt, Kyler Mason and Kat DeFazio. Troupe 42 was also honored to present the AR Thespian Administrator of the Year award to Superintendent Jim Tucker for his support of the fine arts programs at our school.

*EHS Drama Department will be holding auditions for our spring musical 'Cinderella' on Monday January 8 and Tuesday January 9. Pick up an audition form from Mrs. Griffin or Mrs. Davis so that you can prepare for auditions. Forms to help with Tech are also available.

*National Honor Society Applications are now available in room 2532. Deadline to turn in applications is January 10th.

*EHS Drama Department will be holding auditions for our spring musical 'Cinderella' on Monday January 8 and Tuesday January 9. Pick up an audition form from Mrs. Griffin or Mrs. Davis so that you can prepare for auditions. Forms to help with Tech are also available.

*The last day to turn in a schedule change form to drop a class is THIS FRIDAY JANUARY 5. Pick up a form outside the guidance office and return it to the basket with a parent or guardian's signature NO LATER THAN FRIDAY. Your counselor will email you regarding your schedule change or you can watch your HAC Account for updates.

*FBLA meeting Monday morning at & 7am in Mrs. Martindale's room 1510 to get permission slips to go to testing on Thursday, Jan 11th in Camden. Only the members who signed up for competition.

*The Extreme Leadership Conference is January 25th. The members who are going need to fill out the registration form by tomorrow. Check your email or contact Mr. Moore.
